Obvious but obscure. Are we ignorant?

FAT to the WA for macha, amoi and sayang. Imagine this

Religious body has banned the word “Macha” among certain races as history of the word seeds from deep hindu roots. “Amoi” too, a commonly used word among teenagers and young adults mostly, have been censored as using the word might deviate from ones religion and belief. “Sayang” is a common word used among all races in Malaysia , in most cases as a pet name for ones lover is also banned among certain races as the word might bring people closer to a different creed.

100 million vote for US president.

US elect-president had to go through critics and sarcasm day in day out for months. Debating in public answering to question that he can never be prepared for on the spot as hundreds of millions judge him. He had to handle every move taken every word spoken with careful care every single minute and second as all US citizen had their eyes on him ready to pounce when he makes his 1st mistake. Fortunately he did not as only a true resolute man who can withstand the enormous pressure can go on and become the president of the most powerful country in the world especially under his peculiar circumstances.

Having said that Malaysia PM’s campaign is chosen from 2500 candidates who are party members. Candidates is chosen from a show of hands mostly, within the division where THEY WOULD KNOW WHO YOU VOTED FOR. Then in turn the division will come up with the candidate that they deem is suitable for the position and again WE WOULD KNOW WHO HAS CHOSEN WHOM. The candidate involved does not have to directly campaign for their position or prove themselves or go for debates/speeches or anything. There is no platform where they air their aspiration/vision/goals or policies for a better future. Branch member will just vote for them for no apparent reason (supposedly in the eyes of the public). In the end only candidates that gets enough pre-voted can stand for the party’s election. The party’s election is held among 2500 people. In conclusion we have 2500 people who have the power to decide the next Prime Minister of Malaysia whom in future will have control of the direction of billions of ringgits, economic development, social and fiscal policies, the cabinet and other absolute power.

2500 people are given the deciding power equal to 100 million people in the US.

And we wonder why the United States produces astoundingly great leaders.
